Jan Drahokoupil, a member of the Czech Ameteur Stormchasing Society, has reported a red sprite above a Mesocale Convective System over France on 11 September 2008, at about 19:25 UT. The approximate direction of view is presented in this image and you can find more details from ASS web pages.
