Sprites on sprite anniversary at SOSO

The CIPH Smart Optical Sensors Observatory (SOSO) has celebrated the anniversary of the first observations of sprites from this observatory with a very successful (again!) result on 12 September 2008.

At least sixteen events were recorded between 18:11 and 20:52 UT, above a very large thunderstorm system which developed in a wide area over central Italy and beyond.
